The Team Behind NYC’s Most Refined Outdoor Spaces

Our Story

A Brand Inspired by Nature and Built for NYC

Greengage Urbanscape began with a lifelong relationship to landscape, formed long before the company existed. Early experiences came from weekends spent outside the city in Sharon Springs, New York, where open fields, forests, streams, and a small hidden cabin shaped a deep respect for how land should feel, function, and be cared for. Those moments built a foundation rooted in intention, not decoration.

Those experiences centered on interaction, exploration, and shaping space by hand. Small dams were built in streams, walking paths were cut through fields, and a well was dug in rocky soil. These early projects taught lessons about effort, balance, and the lasting impact thoughtful work can have on natural systems.

The name Greengage comes directly from that time, taken from a mason jar labeled “Greengage” used to test the property’s well water. Today, Greengage Urbanscape is based in Brooklyn, NY and built on decades of hands-on experience. What started as a small operation has grown into a trusted firm for complex urban landscapes, guided by disciplined execution, clean details, and long-term performance.

Our Purpose

The Standard We Build By

We don’t treat landscaping as decoration; we treat it as a permanent component of the built environment. Our work is designed to integrate with architecture, perform in demanding city conditions, and age with integrity. We create urban outdoor environments that look refined, function reliably, and reflect the level of care behind the buildings they serve.

What We’re Here to Deliver

Our mission is to deliver high-end urban landscaping with a strong commitment to our clients, our team, and the environments we shape. We operate with structured systems, organized workflows, and careful attention to detail so each landscape remains polished, functional, and dependable year after year.

Where We’re Going Next

Our vision is to raise the bar for premium urban landscaping across Brooklyn and greater New York City. We aim to lead through craftsmanship, responsible practices, and a culture of accountability; creating outdoor spaces that elevate property value and improve daily experience.
